To ensure homeowners who participate in the program receive full benefits in energy savings, Energy Upgrade California requires all of the contractors on their list to be Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certified. If a contractor has the BPI designation, it means they are a professional who has proven that they have the knowledge and skills to diagnose the root cause of the problems in your house and the ability to provide solutions to fix it right the first time. 

Even if you are able to complete only one or two of the suggestions you get from the contractor, you will understand your options and be able to make better decisions about your home in the future.
