Profile Information

About Me:
Planning for Solar Santa Monica started in the Fall of 2006 when the City Council approved a long-term energy plan for the community, aimed at achieving energy independence by 2020. The plan is called the Community Energy Independence Initiative.

Solar Santa Monica is the program that will help the City achieve its energy independence goals. Working with consulting firm EcoMotion, the Office of Energy and Green Building Programs established an action plan that helps residents, businesses and property owners save energy through energy efficiency upgrades, and then helps them produce energy using clean, reliable solar systems.

Our goal is to help the City be energy self-sustaining by 2020.

Posted on December 22, 2011 at 12:30am 0 Comments

LA County has arranged with Matadors Community Credit Union to make low-cost loans available to participants in Energy Upgrade California.  …
